Throughout the month of October, we celebrate ageing positively with our free online events. You can try out an exercise class, learn about technology or how easy it is to play the ukulele.
Uke ‘n Play Ukulele
Learn to play songs on the ukulele in one fun-filled introductory session. Community music leader Margaret Crichton will show you how. All you need is a ukulele so dust off that old ukulele you’ve been meaning to learn to play or borrow one.

Come ‘ n Try Mahjong
Mahjong is like Rummy only instead of cards it’s played with tiles based on Chinese characters and symbols. Our friendly Mahjong players will teach you to play this non-gambling style. This activity will only go ahead if lockdown restrictions are eased.

Health My Way & Gentle Fitness
Gentle Fitness is a safe way to exercise with no floor exercises and an ideal routine for lifting your mood while you remain active and independent. We’ll also show you some online resources for improving overall health and wellbeing for Get Online Week on the Be Connected ‘Health My Way’ website.
